Friday ‘Spring’ Café
I hope you can spare a few moments from your household chores to share a virtual drink and a relaxing conversation.
This week I enjoyed watching some migrating Canada Geese flying here for the summer. What first caught my attention was their distinctive honking, then I spotted them flying in their typical V-shaped formation. It was a sure sign in this wintery part of North America that spring was also returning. And about time too, because it snowed three times earlier this week as the temperature hovered around the freezing point and spring seemed so far off.
Now, I don’t mind shoveling the stuff, but in late April I’d rather be doing springtime activites. And soon I will. I’m looking forward to long, leisurely walks through the city’s vast river valley and network of ravines, especially after the leaves reappear. I’ll also enjoy the smell of the earth after a fresh rainfall, the twitter of birds….and as soon as it’s warm enough—a coffee outdoors.
Join me in a drink dear friends, and let me know what you do in the spring.
