We were pleased to welcome Arti Mehta, Lecturer of Classics at Howard University, for our CHS Open House discussion on Aesop.
The discussion featured examples of fables from different sources, providing points of comparison. These texts are available in ‘Aesop and Fable: A God of Small Things” which is available here to download.

Arti Mehta (Ph.D. Indiana University, Classics) studies ancient fables and popular literature through the medium of folklore, rhetoric and literary criticism. She is currently in the process of turning her dissertation, “How Do Fables Teach? The World of the Fable in Greece, India and Rome” into a book. She teaches ancient languages and literatures at Howard University.
