Text Library

Here you can find primary texts in translation, with brief introductions and some links to related material. These source texts track the H24H Core Vocabulary terms, and are provided as downloadable in PDF format, and there are links to html versions online at the Center for Hellenic Studies Publications. They include texts that have been revised by members of Kosmos Society.

Book Club

Kosmos Society has a monthly Book Club which provides the opportunity for members to discuss texts or publications in the forum and in online meetings. However, you could also use these selections as a suggested reading list. The announcements provide links to free online editions.

H24H Core Vocab list

These are the key words for each Hour together with other Core Vocabulary terms, as listed in Gregory Nagy’s The Ancient Greek Hero in 24 Hours[1] and the associated Sourcebook[2]. These terms are tracked in the primary texts in the Text Library.

Word studies

Here you can find articles at Kosmos Society which feature word studies of Core Vocab and other Greek terms, and explorations of online digital tools for carrying out word studies.
